Security is unfortunately a huge
and necessary subject, but traditionally most people
think of security in the same breath as the Internet.
Security concerns can and often do come from within
your own company, your next door business, over
the phone, in the mail. The purpose of this information
is to give a basic understanding of some of each
of these security concerns. Since most people think
of the Internet security concerns, it may be a good
place to start.
Today the Internet is predominate
part of almost any business. It is a wonderful tool
for so many reasons, however, you have to take the
bad with the good. The bad comes in so many ways.
Unfortunately, today we have to contend with SPAM,
spyware, hijackers, hackers, denial of service attacks,
viruses, and just our right not knowing any better.
Most people generally have an idea of some of these
things but really aren't aware of if it something
they should worry about or if they are protected.
This advise is more of an explanation of these
issues in plain talk. When your talking about a
business, your opening yourself and the rest of
the folks up to downtime, lose of data, lawsuit,
fraud, and outright ruin.
